LIFEcycle's RRR Grants Program

Each year, LIFEcycle distributes grant awards to local cancer centers with the funds raised by the efforts of Ride ‘Round Rhody participants and the generosity of the people who support them. The following is a list of hospitals that have received these grants, with a description of how the funds were used:

Lifespan Hospital System

  • Personalized Genomic Cancer Care - This groundbreaking program delivers individualized medicine by identifying and directly treating a patient's specific gene mutations found in the hard tumors of advanced cancer

  • The Research Excellence Fund - to create, improve and advance cancer treatments. The purpose of the Fund is to provide medical researchers with seed funding to take their research to the next level, transfer it from “bench to bedside,” or further enhance the understanding of specific cancers and their treatments. All research funded with RRR-generated money will have a short-term clinical application related to treating cancer, and the projects will be carefully selected based on an ability to deliver long-term, meaningful results in the fight against cancer.
